St Fagans!

A trip to St Fagans, Wales. Possibly the coolest place ever. Loved it.

St Fagans is an open air museum which explores all aspects of how people in Wales have lived, worked and spent their leisure time. Like generations of visitors, you will be inspired by its celebration of Welsh traditions and lifestyles. 

It also had a grand castle, beautiful gardens, lots of old cottages and houses, shops and schools.

Lola-Bacon

It's the name of the new Ballad of.. magazine. Love it.. I submitted some illustrations a while ago that fit the brief of Pet my ballad which you can read here. I illustrated some rather quirky and some naughty pets here is one of them below.. I'm ridiculously excited to see them in print.

Oak Fine jewellery

I was asked by the lovely Hannah of Amelia's magazine to do some illustrations for her interview with Oak fine jewellery, a fine jewellery boutique selling forest inspired Fair Trade jewellery which you can read here. Oak fine is run by Jo-Anne Owdud and Parul Tolentino who "love objects that have a story to tell, whether that’s with a sentimental meaning, or perhaps something unexpected. Historical references play a big part in what they love to explore and their surroundings are a huge inspiration. The Richmond Park collection was inspired by the sentiments of family and life, conveyed through the power of nature and their namesake; the ‘Oak’ tree which is also their favourite playground!"

Amazing stuff from Primark lately bagged myself some lush dresses from here that actually don't look like they're from Primark at all ... ace!!

Also fyi Catfish is on More4 tonite at 10, I did some illustrations for Amelia's magazine when the lovely Kat phan reviewed the film and read so many excellent reviews about it so looking forward to seeing it.. hope it lives up to its hype. You can read the review here. All illos featured are illustrated by myself :)

What a beautiful day. I surprised myself by being totally engrossed in todays festivities and I thought Kate/Princess Catherines' dress was beyond amazing- classic, understated and beautiful.

And didnt the Queen look rather lovely too?

Well I'm nearly finished my project finally. Just have a wee bit more to do then my hand in is next week (scary!). Been a bit of an odd week, trying to get on track with everything. I had a few setbacks in the last week so I've had to reevaluate and try on focus on what had to be done.

Looking forward to getting project out of the way so I can focus on whats next.. and hoping of course to delve back into illustration which I have not had the time to do lately. Sorry for the boringness hopefully my blog will be back filled with pretty colourful illustrations soon.

Just a post to say

hello! Life takes unexpected turns. I'm taking a little time out for awhile until my project is finished and I get my head together. I'm also taking a break from social networking until I feel abit better. Just wanted to post something so people I know I'm not ignoring anyone :)
