Inspired by: Eda Akaltun

I really love Eda's work. Its a mix of traditional printmaking techniques with digital collage which looks really cool and reminds me of Warhols pop art of the 50s. So colourful. I love her vivid use of colour and pattern and detail which make her work stand out. What do you think?

Here are some of my favourite sourced from her website over here.

Fashion Africa!

Africa Fashion Guide is the brainchild of Jacqueline Shaw a professional fashion designer, a visionary and an eco-entrepreneur with a big heart for Africa, Fashion and International Development. Africa Fashion Guide's main focus is to promote the African fashion and textile industry to the greater global textile industry. It is a one stop shop and platform for fashion professionals, students, retailers, magazines, bloggers and all those interested in African fashion and textiles as a way to promote this industry and bring links between African designers, craftspeople, manufacturers and texile designers with UK and EU fashion design companies and consumer markets, as well as with retailers worldwide.

I met Jacqueline at a book launch a few months ago and was asked to do some fashion illustrations for her book, and to which I jumped at the chance its a really great opportunity and a fantastic cause to promote African fashion. It is will be launching as a ethical fashion publication next month. I did quite a few illustrations of fashion by Oliberte, Lalesso, Fashion by Mia and Kluk CGDT for the book. Can't wait to share them with you soon prepare for some colourful delights :)

Thinking of you

First of all how hard is it to believe what is going on with the world in particular London?! Watching the news as I write this in shock and anger and disbelief at how people could destory their neighbourhoods and homes. So sad. Hopefully people will see sense soon. Everyone stay safe x

Also if your in the Bristol area and would like to do some good and have fun whilst doing it head down to Oxjam. All monies raised goes to the excellent cause of oxfam xoxo

My fingertips are holding onto the cracks in our foundations

Interview by Florence Massey here. Featuring my illustration and some rather lovely ones. Check it out if you get a chance :)

Live from Amelia's magazine

The Fashion Business Club acted as London’s member’s only fashion networking event group and it boasted a growing membership within the fashion community, interviews with likes of Laura Bailey and Sarah Curran and a partnership with Vogue.com. They have now rebranded into The Industry. The full interview with Kate Nash will be featured on the industry site soon!
