Tea & Crayons // Uncontained // Event

"In June and July, ShellsuitZombie is taking over the 55DSL store in BOXPARK, Shoreditch, and asking thirty creative individuals, groups and companies to take a day each."

The Tea & Crayons ladies are very excited to be taking part in 'Uncontained' - a 30-day pop-up event in the 55DSL store in the Boxpark, Shoreditch, London. Join them on Tuesday 5th June for live illustration, cups of tea, a slice (or two) of cake, mini workshops, and drawing on the walls! There will also be lots of lovely little prints and goodies to buy. The girls would love to see as many of you there as possible, so please come and show some support for Tea & Crayons.

I really wish I could go, the day sounds amazing and promises to "celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in true Crayonette style!"

Keep Shelly In Athens...

This week I went to the Keep Shelly in Athens gig which was epic. They are an electronica-downtempo band from Athens, their music is really chilled out and great to listen to when illustrating.

This is an illustration inspired by the song Our Own Dream directed by Thanasis Tsimpinis which you can see/listen to here.

With this illustration I experimented using outline and shadows. I think I prefer the one without the outline as it looks more delicate and softer, in keeping with the meaning of the song.

What do you think? Which one do you prefer?

Hope you're having a lovely weekend
