Elizabeth Taylor tribute

Elizabeth Taylor tribute here, full of beautiful illustrations. I was blown away, check them out and a lovely article by Matt Bramford.

“If someone’s dumb enough to offer me a million dollars to make a picture, I’m certainly not dumb enough to turn it down.”

Elizabeth Taylor RIP

What a beautiful and talented lady. Sad to think she's the last of the Hollywood greats but what an interesting and amazing life she had. RIP ELizabeth Taylor.

I've illustrated Ms Taylor for a piece that should be going live tomorrow.

Helping Japan.

Helping Japan News feature for Creative Boom.

Natsuki Otani A.K.A. Nat from Illustration Rally has teamed up with illustrator Erica Sharpe, 300dpi and Lea Wade to form a Japan Tsunami Appeal team, "Ganbare Nippon". Illustrators, artists, anyone out there can submit and donate artworks and images of hope to the 'Ganbare Nippon: Don't Give Up Japan' rally. This rally is for people to express the sentiments of hope and support that will help the people of Japan keep strong and hopeful. Its an open submission rally, open to everybody. The theme is Don't Give Up Japan, so images of hope, unity and love are welcome.

They need positive works that showcase the real strength of our community so that we can give hope to the people of Japan. They will be accepting the work from now through the whole of 2011. If you'd like to get involved, visit the illustration rally website here.

My five minutes with ...

Eliza Newman, an Icelandic musician and music teacher based in London. Her music is beautiful, evocative and has quite the quirky, folksy- indie sound. You can have a little listen here. Beautiful!
I spoke to Eliza about her upcoming album Pie in the Sky, teaching music, her new music label and much more…Check out my interview with Eliza here.

Exciting but her lovely PR lady got in touch a while ago about her using my illustration on her promo stuff and website. You can see mine and the other lovely illustrations here. We thought about it and we agreed. Eliza sent us out a lovely package with gig tickets, her new album and some lovely CDs. Made up. And cannot wait to go see her perform in May. Something nice to look forward to.

Business cards

My business cards arrived this morning, Super, considering they hardly cost me a penny. They were a bit darker then I'd imagined but in a way they also turned out better than I hoped (and they blend in well with my tablecloth lol). What do you think? They'll do the job nicely I reckon :)

A little bit of Jesca Hoop if you please

An illustration I did a little while ago. Read Amelia Gregory's amazing interview with Jesca and the director of her new City Bird music video, Elia Petridis. Really intriguing video if you'd like to check it out right here.

Audrey!

Got this really lovely Audrey hepburn collection for christmas, and thanks to being sick (no honestly, thanks a lot) I got to watch these and they are really amazing. My favourite so far is Roman holiday and Funny face. Much better then Breakfast at tiffanys which surprised me cos of all the hype about it. They are beautiful films, beautifully directed, Audrey hepburn is stunning in them, and each one is surprising me more then the last, I think they're the types of films you can watch again and again. Aces!
